This Christmas, Mindy, Lanh-Khanh and I were treated to a visit from most of
the Vernon clan.
Keith
made his superlative lemon merringue pie, which turned out a great
success despite a near miss with the egg-whites as we don't yet own an
electric whisk.
Mum
and Keith together produced a classic Christmas dinner.
Somehow,
Keith managed to roast 20lbs of potatoes in a few cake tins I excavated
from our cellar.
I
managed to slip Mindy out of the back door of the hospital so she could
join us. She stayed home for nine hours before I had to sneak her
back into the hospital.
Mary
and Lauriane tested out our 'nursery' next to our bedroom. I
tested out my parenting skills by comforting Mary when she stirred
during the night, and making her breakfast on boxing day morning.
I think Mary found them to be in need of some improvement. I ad to
fall back on Lauriane to correctly execute a nappy change. Oh
well, plenty of time to sharpen that saw!
